Sharing our love of Manchester City every single bright Blue Day!
Thought he might have gone with the athleticism of Reijnders, but great to see "the quad" of Doku, Cherki, Foden & Haaland retained. Lots of issues pressing & OOP, but they're so much fun in possession!

On the plus side for our new set piece coach, we haven't been conceding from set pieces, so he can say half his job is going well!

Apologies for the link to X, but did you see this from Carra on MNF? How Brentford attack. Could definitely do with Khusanov rather than the slowness we saw at Monaco.

Too slow in defence. We know Dias & Gvardiol are slow. Nico is poor against wingers. Rodri & Stones just didn't look fit. Ironically Nico was looking better but he shouldn't be sticking his leg out like that.

Against an in form Manueke, would rather see Ake at left back than O'Reilly, and someone with more in their legs than Silva for what is going to be a test physically.

Likewise Silva's lack of legs against a physically strong Arsenal. Would even have been tempted to put Nico in to support Rodri & had Reijnders coming off the bench.

Defensively O'Reilly is our weakest left back option. Amazed he's starting ahead of Ake or Gvardiol against Madueke in his current form. A very bold call.

Expect either Trafford or Donarumma will leave next summer. eg Trafford to Newcastle, but wouldn't say it's a given Trafford will be the one to go. Time will tell

My thoughts: Think Reis will go on loan - can't see Pep giving him enough minutes for him to develop. Stones to go. Gundo may get an offer from abroad. Supect Ake stays as HG. Akanji's versatility & Pep trusting him could see him stay

I make it 7 of that starting 11 could not be here next season. What does that say?

Think the 10-1 against Huddersfield must be the first (& only) game where a team has scored a hat trick of hat tricks.

He appears a box to box midfielder & that may be why we didn't go for him sooner, however I strongly suspect he'll be mostly playing deeper until Rodri returns. Can see a lot of 1 to 1 coaching from Pep in the coming days.

The optimist in me says if Gonzalez is a fix for the midfield, then we could be comfortable for the top 5 and able to go full strength for the cups.

With all due respect to Mike McGrath, I struggle to see how anyone could still think we have cover for Rodri within the squad. More likely that the club are struggling to get a deal done.

Having gone Brighton in our recruitment (signing talented youth for the long term), doesn't inspire confidence for the Jan-Feb run either.

Was viewing this window as Txixi's "Last Dance" after low key windows since the treble. Now wondering if it's Viana's "First Dance" after they were seen together on Wed.
