I already loved plants but it was more of a hobby and didn’t get really into botany until I moved to Lexington to attend UK. But I’ve found community here, and a career path that will likely take me away from here but maybe back to WI at some point. Funny how things work :)

It does! I just finished the book yesterday and it was wonderful. I’m born and raised in the Midwest, in Wisconsin, and just went back to visit a week and a half ago. We spent time in the central sand hills region botanizing and birdwatching (mostly for whooping cranes!!), so that book speaks to me
