End of Blackjack's reveal trailer was my first serious attempt to edit a video. I think it came out OK despite rushing it, but I'm hoping to do a better job next time.

The world is over, but this machine lets humanity play a forgotten game for the last time.

There is still plenty to do before launch, but getting End of Blackjack's Steam page up is a big milestone.

I didn't intend for the file to be this large, but I almost got to avoid encoding it again.

Mantidflies are also very cool. This one randomly landed on me while I was indoors and waited around for its photo to be taken.

Some of my Phob 1 builds from back when I worked on Gamecube controllers. The clear one was made from junk parts, and the white one is still my main. Good times. More info in the alt text.

Got curious where I took this seagull photo on my first time in San Francisco and went to check a map. This must be a popular perch, because there's also one in the street view image.

I accidentally bought worms that were too big from the pet store once, but they seemed well-received. I also got a very Metal photo of her eating one.

A great friend. She lived for almost an entire typical mantis lifespan despite being fully grown when I found her, and even made an (assumed sterile) ootheca while I was around.

A few years ago, I met this huge mantis in my yard. I learned it's problematic for the native mantis populations, so I took that as a good excuse to adopt it.

I only got one good chance to go to a tide pool while I was in California. I wish that I could go again now that I have better camera gear.

Visiting a tidepool convinced me that I had to do macro photography

Still no coneflowers, but some of the sunflowers keep blooming.

Nearing the end of my backlog, but I'm still finding a few I like.

A lovely arrowhead #spider who came inside looking for lodging.

Good thing spiders have so many legs, or they'd have to worry about tripping in every loop. Carpet will be an unfortunate evolutionary pressure acting against bipedalism forming in invertebrates of this size.

Quick edits of flowers I thought looked neat. Buttonbush?

She is certain that she has a job to do here, upon this moss-colored tapestry. The mechanism and purpose of this task, interspersed with dazzling flashes, is bewildering. Her composure is maintained.

I don't know this ant's backstory, but I bet it would make for a thrilling movie adaptation.

I didn't get the lighting or exposure great, but here are a few more of this ant family's visit.

These ants decided that the right place to keep their pupae during a storm was on my plug-in carbon monoxide sensor.
