It's because SCOTUS said in it's ruling to facilitate the return of Abrego Garcia, that the courts must show deference to trump on national security issues. He's been repeating it like he learned a new word ever since. bsky.app/profile/muel...
National security and foreign affairs, which SCOTUS just said should be given due regard and deference. During Friday's hearing, Ensign said the administration was considering "privilege" as a reason it needed more time. Probs state secrets privilege - same thing they invoked in the AEA case.

CECOT 60 Minutes episode was horrific! People were tortured! Most of the Venezuelan immigrants were never convicted of violent crimes! Light on 24 hours a day! People sent to a black hole to spend days. Sexual beating in the groin with a baton! Heads forced down! Sparse food, filthy drinking water!
