Quaker weirdo. Artsy goofus. Full of both love and cynicism — which will win?

Got this email and thought, “thank you for letting me know that I need to turn that off”
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Same here. One of those movies rooted in my brain due to hbo-overplay
In the late 80’s-early 90’s, before it made prestige television, and when it needed to fill 24 hours of content everyday, HBO ran Real Genius all the time. Multiple times every week. On a loop.
I watched that movie 100 times before I was 18.

Dear manager, please find a review of the past week's activity:

1) hammered in the morning
2) hammered in the evening
3) hammered out danger
4) hammered out a warning
5) hammered out love between my brothers and my sisters, all over this land

On today's Data Journalism Podcast, @kleinmatic shared our research into the collapse of newsroom activity on GitHub with Simon Rogers and @albertocairo.

It ain't pretty. I've attached a chart with the latest data. Tune in to hear what they make of it […]

And the other Quakers at the time are incredibly annoyed at this person for being disruptive and confrontational, but 200 years later we celebrate him as a visionary (looking at you Benjamin Lay)
people say “you have to judge slaveholders by the morality of their own time, no one knew it was wrong” and then you read about some Quaker named, like, Mr. End-Slavery-Now who was also a feminist and a vegetarian and advocated the overthrow of capitalism.

I gotta say that the fact that people are still setting off fireworks all over my neighborhood is truly happy-making for me. I can’t explain it well. I guess I like that people are celebrating and having a good time. Maybe I’d feel different if my dog were afraid of them.
