Ooooh this has not aged well at all. There are clever ideas here like the wall climbing and playing with gravity, but the bullshit difficulty makes Mega Man look tame. I don't think such an arcade core title is a good fit for a console, but that was pretty common back then.

Meow it's not purrfect, but it leaves me feline satisfied. Puzzles got my thinking cat on. The mewsic compliments the world pawsitively well. Its tail is short yet sweet and furmidible. Now I'll stop with all these cat puns, else someone may call claw enforcement on me. Just kitten!

My first impression of this wasn't great, possibly because I started with the worst combination of chapters. Not every story nails the landing, and underneath the glossy HD-2D, you can tell it wears the bones of a SNES RPG. Yet I still think it is definitely worth playing.

but considering how BS his stage is, maybe it's justified

Kid Icarus was a cakewalk compared to this. Wasn't a fan of having to go back to Elec Man's stage for the Magnet Beam. The music is brilliant and I like the stage designs, BS difficulty moments notwithstanding. (YELLOW. DEVIL.) I'd say Ice Man is my fave Robot Master here.

Some of you may have realised this already, but I was doing the 52 game year challenge this entire time! And my final count is 56 games! Not too shabby for my first real attempt.

As a kid, I played 30 minutes of Air Ride and didn't like it. But after sinking hours into its sequel, I wonder if I missed out on something special. City Trial is addictive, there's tons to unlock, some deep Kirby cuts...
but wtf no playable Adeleine or Ribbon???
