i know you've been through it with the account and all and have every reason to leave it behind and find peace, but as long as you're still at it thank you for what you do. it puts a smile on my face pretty much every day and that's worth celebrating. <3

Dunno, just felt like I had to write that out as 2025 nears ending. Like it's something we're all thinking but no one really posts cuz it's kinda hard to read, nod to, and say, "Yup" and go back to cooking dinner or watching TV. How is this just the way things are?

It's not just that previously this would lead to a real artist finding reference or creating pre-concept sketches for every asset, it's an inversion in artistic control giving significantly more control and power to managerial heirarchy.

What this looks like is a manager/lead, who may not have art experience, messaging: "Hey, show up to a desk meeting in 10 minutes with 5 generated alternate looks based on this AI image I'm sending you now." Repeat for every asset needing concepting.

As usual, the answer is that they just hid it/kept it quiet. Sigh.
