New tactic that I think is beneficial if adopted en masse. LOTs of hate in social media, usu blatantly and rudely directed at sane, decent people sharing facts.
I'll be posting to the sane person, "I'm sorry that this individual (hater) was disrespectful to you. You're not alone. I'm hurting too."
