It's finally done. It's real. It's a physical thing. It's in the flesh (or paper, I guess.)

My book, What Remains, is complete.
A Canon 5D mark III with 40mm f2.8 STM sits next to my book, What Remains.

“What’re you hiding under a pullover that size?”

Did some more folds & shading practice, had a bit of fun with it and made sort of a sequel to this one. Yeah the pistol is in an odd place, yeah I got lazy with the background.

Having fun & learning tho, and that’s the main thing!

Digital art of a young woman with copper hair, green eyes, and pale skin. She is wearing dark leggings and a baggy grey jumper. She is half turned from the camera and lifting up the jumper to in line with her ribcage to reveal a utility belt with some equipment pouches around her waist and a crosswise bandolier with a pistol on it across her back. The background is grey with some dark cracks in it.

Got a block with the Norse fantasy stuff so did some clothing shading/texture practice with Esther and turned it into something goofy

#oc #characterart
Digital art of a young redhead woman with green eyes wearing dark leggings and an oversized grey jumper. She is grinning at the viewer and has her hands on her hips. The background gives an impression of an autumnal forest in reds, oranges, and browns with drifting leaves and superimposed over it are the words “it’s finally autism~” in white text.

#Battletech is a serious game that I take seriously

A photograph of a Raven-class Battlemech from the battletech tabletop game. This bird-like robot has been painted to look like a penguin and based to look like it is on snow. -Valdis, 5th avatar of Lunn (Goddess of life, death, and natural cycles; ‘The Wolf that Waits’; ‘The First’) in 2267 S.F. during the Hjartaborg Schism-

Revisited my fantasy setting for this one and I’m really proud of how it came out, especially with the lighting and the pose :D
#oc #characterart
Digital fantasy art of a woman in chainmail armour over a white tunic with gold trim, with baggy grey trousers and dark grey leg wraps. She is advancing on the viewer, carrying a round wooden shield in her left hand and a long spear in her right, which is resting across her shoulder, behind her head. She has bronze bracers on her forearms with golden knotwork and around her waist is a thin, long belt with gold fastenings. Her hair is long and dark brown and messy, with bangs framing her face. Her ears are that of a wolf, atop her head, and she has the tail of a wolf coming from behind her. She is half in shadow, parts of her lit orange from a glow at the right of the frame, although no detail is lost in the darkness. Behind her obscured by smoke and drifting embers. Her eyes are golden and glowing from within, staring at the viewer. Behind her head is a stylised halo, also gold and glowing.

"Never forget child that I am part of you and you part of me," the beast assured her, its voice echoing through her mind, "and in that you will never truly be alone."

Thought I'd do something different with this one while practicing anatomy (not sorry for posting feet on main)

#oc #characterart
Digital art of a nude woman with brown hair, glowing, golden eyes, and a wolf’s ears and tail sat on the bare ground with her knees huddled to her chest, legs and tail covering all intimate parts. She has tattoos on her forearms depicting wolves eating the sun and the moon and she is covered with cuts and bruises. She is looking at the viewer with curiosity and vulnerability and behind her head is a glowing halo while in the darkness above her is a barely-visible wolf’s skull with golden glowing eyes.

A woman in the black cloak of a Seidkona peers into a conjured mist. Human artillery, they were force multipliers for both sides of the Schism. This one has a brooch bearing the symbol of Lunn’s armies. Despite progress in equality, centuries would pass before men were able to join
#oc #characterart
Digital art of a pale, redhead woman with green eyes wearing traditional Viking-era Scandinavian clothing of a brown apron over a plain shift dress. The apron is fastened with gold-coloured brooches and tied at the waist with a rope cord, which bears a leather pouch. Over her shoulders in a knee-length black cloak, also fastened with a gold brooch. She is holding a wooden staff as tall as she is that is glowing blue at the top. The background is shrouded by mist but floating rubble can just about be seen through it.

Painted up some #StarWars Legion stormtroopers in time for my Saga Edition game last night and it turns out I suck at painting white lol. Look fine on the table though and it’s amazing how much basing can tie a model together, even if the paint job is butts xD

#miniaturepainting
Five models of Imperial Storm Troopers from the Star Wars Legion miniatures range. They are wearing white armour with black accents and are carrying black blaster carbines. Their bases look like rocky, grassy fields, and they are photographed on a white background.

Just GM’d my #StarWars Saga Edition game for the first time in nearly 4 years and after the usual “What we doin?” the party got well into it and had loads of fun flattening Storm Troopers. Made me happy to be in the big chair again making other people happy ^^

The first #Battletech miniature I’ve painted in ages and it’s a Wasp for my pirates!

A photograph of a model of mech/robot on a hexagonal base. The model is painted mostly black with some grey edge highlighting and gold standing out for the head cockpit windows. It has bare metal for some of the mechanical parts and weapons and scrap metal stained with red stuck onto the outside of the armour. Inside the gun barrels is also painted like red lenses. Thank you! Shame the runes can’t really be seen in the compression either, I spent ages putting an Easter egg in there :p

Lamellar armour is a pain to draw lmao.

Hroar and Ottar, Hearthkarls (warrior priests, golden eyes showing souls bound to Lunn) sworn guardians to Valdis, in post-battle levity. Clad in expensive lamellar inlaid with magic-dampening electrum, Hearthkarls of all denominations were used as heavy infantry during the Schism.
#oc #characterart
Digital art of two men outside under blue sky, the background blurred rolling hills with green grass and near-autumnal trees. The men are both wearing a cuirass of armour made from plates of silver metal, inlaid with pale gold runes, sewn onto leather. This is worn over shirts of chain mail which is in turn worn over a white tunic with gold trim. The men are both wearing baggy light grey trousers with darker grey leg wraps below the knees, and white cloaks with dirty hems clasped at the neck with gold brooches. The man on the left of the frame has long ginger hair with a braid on one side and is clasping his belly in laughter. He has a hand axe in his belt and a spear and shield on the ground next to him. The man on the right appears older, with long brown hair and a full brown beard. He has a sword on his belt and is leaning on the head of a two-handed axe. He is smiling at the other man. His eyes are glowing gold.
