When I was just starting to dip my toes into Battletech beyond a passing interest, I first encountered a handful of raging bigots... only to be very quickly swept up into a queer-inclusive discord. And I'm proud to say I now *run* that discord, and we're over a thousand members strong. Seyla!

An interesting read.
Whilst Cis myself, the LGBTQ+ gaming community, and the Trans community in particular, have long been staunch allies and supporters I do not deserve, but I do my best to reciprocate, and ensure my spaces are safe and welcoming to them, while actively hostile to bigots.

This is a great read. BattleTech (mentioned in the article) has a ton of trans players and I'd say the vast majority of fandom likes it just fine or, at worst, doesn't care one way or the other because it's more folks to play with.

Theres one month left to write and send in a quick story for Pirate Point. My advice: 1000 words is good for ideas that have low mileage; a joke or a gag, a single crazy scene, one of those "what if" observations. Send something our way!
