In addition to @atthisarts.com - (definitely check out our catalogue at slash cat) my own books are listed in more detail at edebell.com - and I do sign and/or personalize them! (Note: A selection of economy shipping to certain countries prevents this.)

I love my stories and hope you might too.

If you would like to shop small this weekend, consider indie bookshops rather than the big chains. Consider the authors themselves, even. A ton of us have signed books available on our websites.

Me for example: www.swankmotron.com/shop

This movie is really terrific. It’s like if Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle and Graham Greene’s Power and the Glory hung out together in a murder mystery. Rian Johnson is just a terrific filmmaker and I’m thankful he gets to ply his art. Go see it.
Let’s all go around BlueSky and each say what we’re thankful for. I’ll start: GLENN CLOSE! And #WakeUpDeadMan being in theaters. WITH GLENN CLOSE! Thanks to all who are coming out to see it. Theater finder in my pinned post!

This was a fun read. I was wondering what road it was going to take things down at several points just in terms of depicting things. Was it going to be real magic or imagined? And who benefits from what?

The characters were fun. Also, the birds being the bad-guys makes sense. Never trust a dinosaur

Did everyone get a chance to check this out? If so, what did you think?

Are Pip and Darkmoor as fun to read about as I think they are to write about?

Exactly this.

I don’t want to hire a robot to kiss my wife or eat ice cream for me, either. Writing is on the long list of things I love and won’t outsource.
Writing isn’t boring!!! If you’re using AI for the parts of your writing that you find boring, WHY ARE YOU WRITING?!?!?

Literally!!! Ask yourself!!! Why are you doing this!!!!

We have a “poverty trap” and it’s driving the destruction of social cohesion.

The “poverty line” is’t 35,000, it’s $150,000, and making more than one, and less than the other is worse than being “poor”.

Which is why the rage.

Forget student assignments, this is just the perfect thing to quote on ANY AI slop anywhere.

Back when Twitter wasn't so bad, someone asked Robert McKee there his opinion about @rianjohnson.bsky.social's The Last Jedi, and he directed them to my analysis of the film.

And I about died. That's all the validation I needed.

Question for BlueSky:

What's a good, reasonably priced option for a stop-motion camera rig and set up that I could get a 10 year old? Kingston really wants to make more complicated films than he's able and I want to facilitate that.
