An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

And that is a wrap on Final Fantasy Tactics remastered. That game is just brilliant. Tied with 3/6 for best they ever made.

I really adore this pin my partner and kid gave me to adorn my hoodie.
A Lucasfilm hoodie with a pin on it. A black cat is holding a knife in its teeth that reads “He/they”

I was completely unprepared for the threat posed by the Antifa super soldiers.

Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Core 1A speech.

With cameras rolling, they’re sniping priests for sport.

I did notice the unusual helicopter activity. Portland never had that before when I stayed there.

Portland is definitely into peaceful protest, as they should be when there are masked gunmen roaming the country kidnapping people.... but yeah... no insurrection or warzone.

The whole thing is like an AI hallucination. Finding out that's all it is would not surprise me.

I saw the most bizarre movie at the Hollywood Theatre, which is an incredible old movie palace that I wish I could just live in. They have a great program of movies.

I did some writing in the downtown library.

In fact I did a LOT of writing across the whole downtown area.

Not a warzone.

You know, I was in Portland a couple of weeks ago for a good stretch of time. I have friends and family in Portland that I know and love. It was about as far from a war zone as I could imagine. It was quiet and peaceful. I got lots of work done. Ate at some great restaurants. Had some good beer.
