Four potential elimination games on Wednesday!!

In the history of Division Series (1981, 1995-onward), there’s been one year where all 4 DS ended on the same day:

October 5, 1996

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. smashes a go-ahead home run in the fifth inning.

The Yankees have a lead for the first time this series.

Judge's home run came on a 99.7 mph fastball that was a good three inches off the plate.

Superhuman stuff.

Aaron Judge's third hit of the game is a game-tying three-run homer off the left-field foul pole.

Holy moly.

A gentleman with a "Dump Here 61" shirt caught the Raleigh home run (on a bounce.)

Vlad Jr. is doing it all tonight. Look at this dive at home plate!

He was booking it too. 29.3 feet-per-second sprint speed (30+ is considered elite).

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has homered in the first three games of the series. It's already 2-0 Blue Jays in The Bronx.

Man, he is incredible right now.

Eugenio Suárez crushes a 422-foot homer to extend the Mariners lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning.

Comerica Park has gotten silent awfully quickly.

The Mariners scored the first run of the game and there is a lot going on here. The replay review confirmed the safe call.

Logan Gilbert's splitter is truly a unicorn pitch among starting pitchers. With a 50.4 percent whiff rate, it was the only pitch by a SP with a 50+ percent whiff rate this season (min. 200 swings).

A roughly 15-mph difference between his splitter and fastball is unfair.

Jackson Chourio's three-run home run came on a 101.4 mph fastball from Daniel Palencia, the fastest pitch hit for a home run in the playoffs in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008).

The previous-fastest pitch hit for a HR was 100.6 mph by Nelson Cruz (2011 ALCS GM 5).
