I’m in Massachusetts, and I would bet dollars to donuts that the police tried to frame Karen Reade.
Fortunately two juries believed her but years of her life were wasted.

They always seem to ask me if I would give testimony from law enforcement officers more credibility than testimony from anyone else. I’ve always answered honestly no, that I wouldn’t trust them more, maybe trust them even less. These days it would be even more difficult to trust any LE officer.

You are exactly correct. That was the sole purpose of the amendment.

The second amendment is one single sentence. A well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This is about being able to raise an army to defend our new nation. Not about personal defense.

I will never again serve on a jury. I am heavily biased and cannot sit as a judge of my peers. I also have zero faith in the courts after seeing my brothers killers convicted then pardoned by the Orange King.

The DA laughed, but I was trying to send a signal to the defense that they weren't going to have a sympathetic jury if there was credible evidence that the defendant had used a machine gun.

I'm not saying that was a deciding factor, but he pleaded guilty to all counts the next morning.

Had jury duty this week. The defendant had committed five armed robberies WITH A MACHINE GUN.

When asked what I think about firearms, I said: "I think the Second Amendment is one of the stupidest things America ever did, other than the way activist judge Antonin Scalia willfully misinterpreted it."

28-year-old Pedro Luis Salazar-Cuervo, who has no known criminal record, was accused by Texas police of being in a Venezuelan gang because they found a photo of him posing with another man with tattoos, his lawyers say.

From ProPublica partner @texastribune.org:
Migrant deported to El Salvador after DPS labeled him a member of Tren de Aragua without evidence, lawyer says
Lawyers for Pedro Luis Salazar-Cuervo deny he is a gang member and say the DPS accusation hinges on a photo they found of him standing next to a man with tattoos.
