Sunrise light yesterday, 2/12/25. Had a magical moonlit snowshoe under the light of the full Snow Moon to reach the summit of Porter a half hour before sunrise. Soft clouds moved over the summit when I arrived, but parted just before the sun rose behind Giant and Hopkins. carlheilman.com

Bog River Falls, 9/28/24... The sun is surrounded by a 22 degree halo in the icy cirrus clouds high above the falls at the south end of Tupper Lake.
