“These are not normal times in America, and they should not be treated as such. This is our moral moment. This is when the most precious ideas of our country are being tested. … Where does the Constitution live, on paper or in our hearts?”

Dems can just clip the "we took the freedom of speech away" and make an ad

Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

look I am not his audience and know very little about Bad Bunny but an extremely cursory google search tells me that he is in fact one of the most popular entertainers in the world today

this statement only works if by "broader audience" you mean "conservative white people"

Jason Kelce on Taylor Swift's references to brother Travis is peak Jason: “I thought 'redwood' was a little bit, you know, that was that’s a generous word, I think. If somebody wrote a song about me, it’d be like ‘Japanese maple, sometimes can see.'”

This is some juxtaposition with a Congress and administration that is talking about making it HARDER for seniors to get disability benefits. Also the math: 75 percent of $276K is $207K, mostly tax-free. Scandalous bullshit, indeed.

It is scandalous that every big NYPD chief happens to be "disabled" when they retire.

"Tax free 3/4 of his salery life time benefits... because of an ankle injury he received on Randall's Island while on duty last year."

Bullshit. This is corruption.

The NCAA approved a single Jan. 2-16 transfer portal window in football during the CFP. I'm reminded of the B1G vs. SEC reactions to the proposal by 2 champagne programs.

Ohio State's Ryan Day: “I don’t think it’s a good idea at all.”

LSU's Brian Kelly: “I’m sorry, there’s no crying on the yacht.”

Have to admit, after reading Thomas Harding's piece, I feel better about the direction the Rockies are heading, although I gotta wonder about a Monfort who uses "architect" as a verb. 🤔 www.mlb.com/news/rockies...

Holy Jackson Chourio! In five Brewers postseason games this year and last, he's 10-for-18 (.556) with more homers (three) than strikeouts (two). This year against the Cubs, he’s 5-for-7 with a double, a homer and six RBIs. Oh, and he's 21, the youngest player in the postseason.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.
