Don't leave out the Rs who do care but are pathetic cowards.

To be fair, her audience of one isn't that bright.

Yes, they've intentionally moved the Overton window to make all of this seem more normal to the low info voters (which is most of us).

He knows. He's just lying as leverage in the shutdown fight. He's a true sociopath like Bondi.

Toured a private garden yesterday and they had several big Ferocactus that were 30-40 years old. Maybe a wizlizeni?

This Chenille plant was a free cutting that wasn't much to look at. A few months later, it's thriving and growing some beautiful (and very fuzzy) lime green florets. Echeveria pulvinata. 🌱

I really like all of the green you captured. Deserts have a lot of life.

Joshua Tree National Park

There’s a kind of peace in the desert, especially under a sky like this. Clouds above, roots below, and nature doing what it’s always done: endure, adapt, inspire.

I love the rain barrel! Now on the list of garden projects.

This big Agave "Blue Flame" is looking good right after the first measurable rain of the season. It's such a unique plant with its leaf shape and the way it tilts 45° towards the sun. 🌱

#Agave #Succulent #gardening #plants
A large Blue Flame Agave growing in full sun. It's growing at a 45° angle and facing south in the direction of the sun. The very large leaves are firm but pliable and only have one sharp spine at the tip.

On Frozen Pond!

A heron stands on one leg on a frozen pond hoping for fish?

A frozen heron ruffles feathers to try and keep warm while standing in a frozen pond on one leg. If you look closely, frost had settled on the top of his back. He is not phased by anything.

This Echeveria 'Sahara' produced four impressive flower stalks last spring and survived its first summer in the garden. Its looked better, but the new growth in the center looks healthy and I expect a full recovery. 🌱

#Succulents #Echeveria #gardensky #plantsky
A close up of an Echeveria Sahara. Its bluish leaf color and red margins comes from summer sun and heat. It has lost many of its outer leaves from the sun, but the ones in the center are a vibrant green/blue.

An Aeonium 'superbang' cristata. This is a relatively new and gorgeous variegated aeonium hybrid. My wife was very excited to find this crested version. 🌱

#Aeonium #Succulent #crested #plantsky
A crested aeonium hybrid called "Superbang." It has one main stem that is flat and wide. A smaller stem is to the left but is also flatter than a normally growing stem. The flowers are a mix of crested and normal.

An Agave parryi with its red teeth and imposing spines. These hardy succulents don't just look tough. They can handle all day summer sun and winter temps down to 5° F (zone 7b).

#Agave #succulent #gardeningsky #plantsky
An Agave parryi (parry's agave). It has a rosette of flat but fleshy leaves that are wide in the middle and come to a sharp point. There are red teeth/thorns and inch long terminal spines. Two young leaves are growing in the center and their long spines are close together.

The dark brown thorns of a brand new leaf growing at the center of an Agave horrida. The thorns of new leaves are so tightly packed, they leave a permanant mark on the younger leaves growing underneath. 🌱

A mature Agave horrida with tightly packed leaves. The new leaves have dark brown thorns that turn white as they age. The leaves all have thorn marks from the leaf that grew around it.

Thanks! I hear you. There are a few euphorbias I can't plant in my zone. I agree, agaves really are best in the ground.
