It was as though he was saying, 'look at me'. I had almost every bird perform for my lens yesterday. Okay, a lie, four birds! I like when they move and present me with a challenge.

I have no idea what you are talking about! Storms? The UK? Truly, anything is possible so yes, let's hope indeed! 😂

When the sun sets that is when the magic happens. #ICM #Sunset #Art #Gorgeouslight #Hengistburyhead #EastCoastKin #Photography
Just after the sunsets is the best time to take ICM. I used a figure of 8 shape with my camera to make an abstract of the colours and sea

From black water comes fire; from silence, a song. Waterlily Court at Longwood Gardens.

#waterlily #photography #BloomScrolling #Eastcoastkin
One warm morning Frog and Toad sat together on a wide lily pad. A purple flower beside them swayed gently, its petals shining like silk and its golden center smelling faintly of honey warmed by the sun.

“Frog,” said Toad, “do you think lilies have an easy life?”

“They are very still,” said Frog. “They wait for the sun. They wait for the bees. They wait for the rain. That is their whole life.”

Toad thought for a moment. “That sounds restful. Let us be lilies today.”

So Frog and Toad sat very still on the lily pad. The pad rocked softly beneath them, carrying the scent of wet leaves and cool water.

A dragonfly with glassy wings darted past, making the air hum. Toad wanted to swat at it, but Frog whispered, “Lilies do not swat. Lilies wait.”

A beetle crawled over Toad’s damp toes, leaving tiny tracks of mud. He wanted to shake it off, but Frog said, “Lilies do not shake. Lilies are steady.”

Clouds drifted across the sky like slow white boats, and the water below rippled with silver rings. A fly zipped so close Toad could almost taste its sweetness. His tongue twitched. “Lilies do not snap,” said Frog kindly.

The sun grew warmer. The pond smelled of green stems and moss, of blossoms just beginning to open. A bee landed on the flower beside them, burying itself in golden dust and humming happily.

Toad sighed. “Being a lily is harder than it looks.”

“Yes,” said Frog. “But now we know why they are so beautiful. They are full of patience.”

The two friends laughed, rocked gently on their pad, and decided tomorrow they would be frogs and toads again.

Norwegian Coast, March 2023

A major storm (hurricane force) was on the way, the turbulent atmosphere preceding it's arrival created this peculiar / beautiful phenomenon.

Taken from a ship a few miles off the North Norway coast. Between two threatening squall lines the distant coast of Norway is visible in the gloom. Sunlight turns the snow covered mountains a soft gold colour... a trick of the light makes it appear that the coastal hills are protected by a forcefield dome...

The photo was taken in the morning, that night the ship we were on was caught in hurricane force winds (Force 12 on the Beaufort Scale) which was... errr... 'interesting'...
