He/him bi
Also I love that she knows her monkey user assistant is trying to backstab her and she’s more interested in what he’s going to do rather than stopping him. that’s how you show she’s a badass

Tonako Dogo: throws her brother into Prison, not because she hates him but because she wants him to get stronger…healthier family than Gero’s
November 11, 2025 at 8:57 PM
#Marriagetoxin continues to make me really like Tonako Dogo. Toshiro refused to take the clan’s test when they partnered him with a bat but she achieved the pinacle of strength by embracing the Shiba Inu she was given.

#31nightsofhorror night 31: Parents
Hell, let’s do one more. This was a quirky lil movie that had some great dream sequences and a really unique atmosphere.

so when the tension comes back at the end, I know by that point the killer is only a danger to sleeping kids and I’m more shocked by being reminded that phonebooks used to just have your address and phone in it so anyone could look you up. Yeah, shut it off after the excellent opening

#31nightsofhorror night 30: “The Midnight Hour” 1985 TV special which I figured would be low on frights…then a werewolf mauls a guy, then a zombified dad killed his son, and a town is over run by zombies and everyone gets sent to…hell? Wild escaLation in the back half

@ebihimes.bsky.social have you read “My Puppet of Desire” ? It’s a one shot toxic Yuri that’s on Manga+ (so it’s legal and free). without spoiling too much: Lesbian woman has a crush on her cold, straight boss who ignores her…but at home she has a version who loves her. it might be up your alley

@writervrai.bsky.social Have you read “My puppet of desire“ yet? It’s the toxic yuri fone Shot that hit Manga+ today. It seems like it might be up your alley. CW for drug use, one sided relationship, harassment in the workplace (Female boss on Male employee), and self destructive behaviors

I did watch an episode or two of the original series so I knew the general set up and vibe but I can’t deny the team took full advantage of new animation techniques to make some truly impressive shots. I felt the Second chapter had the better story but you need to see both to get the full picture

#31nightsofhorror night 28: The Pit and the Pendulum” Vincent
Price gives a 5 star performance as a man tortured by the death of his wife and the trauma his father inflicted on him. Ironically, I found the Pit scene the least interesting part though it was still impressive

#31nightsofhorror night 23: “I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House” a movie about ghosts that is a quiet film that doesn't go for terror but rather dread and sadness. Excellent film That makes ghosts terrifying on the existential level.

#31nightsofhorror night 22: “RL Stine’s: Pumpkinhead“

Hell yeah. Some solid PG that pushes the PG rating horror. Scary enough to give the kiddies the heebie jeebies, fast paced and fun enough to keep anyone engaged. Also, has the stones to have a downer ending. Give it a watch!

#31nightsofhorror night 21: The North Witch (2025). this one has some grisly bits but it gets so ridiculous by the end I found myself cracking up. The scene where the cops show up and make the MC give one of them a tracheotomy had me in stiches

#31nightsofhorror night 20: Other (2025) shout out to Olga Kurylenko for giving her best damn performance for a movie that was well beneath her. This film was shit. The script was shit, the plot was shit, most of the characters were shit. This was the worst movie of the month

#31nightsofhorror night 19. Lovely Dark and Deep. Absolutely gorgeous film that has some nice dread and buildup that goes nowhere. Also, the message seems to be “if horrible things have been going on…just let them keep happening. Don’t fight the system join it.” What a waste of time.

But I can’t deny I really liked Gwen getting a bigger focus, the final conclusion is VERY satisfying and I can’t deny the last phone call got me a little choked up. If you liked the first one, you owe it to yourself to watch this movie

#31nightsofhorror night 16: “The Call of Cthulu” (2005) very Loving tribute with great use of shadows and set design, even if it doesn’t quite match the aesthetic it aims for. took me two decades to watch it and I had a blast!

#31nightsofhorror night 15: “Dark Harvest” 2023. Odd adaptation of the book which changes the plot quite a bit but does have some very fun gore in the first half. not Sure if I’ll revisit it but it was okay.

#31nightsofhorror night 14 “The Void” I‘m afraid my opinion is with the majority: amazing visuals, practical effects, and scary ideas…weak human drama. Will say though, this would make a prettty awesome Call of Cthulu module

#31nightsochoreography DOUBLE FEATURE: “The Power“ (movie is rightfully blunter with its message than a brick to the face but until the somewhat goofy finale is great possession flick) and “All you need is Death” (folk songs are evil, 4 year old me was right!)

#31nightsofhorror ”The crimes of Stephen Hawke”1936 . First Tod Slaughter film I’ve ever watched and it was fantastic! Could be argued to be more of a period drama…BUT the titular character has the Epithet of “The Spinebreaker” and murders people including a kid. skip the first 8 minutes of padding.

#31nightsofhorror night 11 “Invaders From Mars” I love Tobe Hooper films. I love practical effects, I love dark implications I love kids punching aliens and calling them “dickheads” and I love explosions. I got everything I wanted and more.

#31nightsofhorror night 10 “The Masque of the Red Death” (1964) LOVE IT. Vincent Price makes a deliciously evil Prospero, the set design is great, the Red Death is a simple but immaculate costume and for the time was quite violent. Definitely a classic

#31nightsofhorror night 9 “Lore” (2023) a very forgettable anthology…wish I had more to say but I already forgot it
