The rumors are true: Boneshaker is headed to a new location! We need your help to dig up our bones and move on over to 26th and Lyndale. We're hoping to raise $15,000 total, $6k of that by 10/17. Learn more at bit.ly/boneshakermove and thank you for helping Boneshaker thrive!
Boneshaker Books is moving! Why move? While we love a lot about our current location, we’ve struggled with dwindling foot traffic, low sales, and expensive maintenance issues.

We believe our new space will offer resources that will allow us to exist more sustainably as a community organization for the long haul. How can I help? Our goal is to raise $15,000 total to fund the move, make some improvements to the new space, and build out our inventory.

Ultimately, we need at least $6,000 by October 17th so we can reopen in our new space at 708 W 26th St. by around November 1st. Donate and find out more about the move (and the cool perks you can get for donating!) via the QR code or URL below.
Thank you for helping Boneshaker thrive!

Can’t decide what to buy on Prime Day?

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

Helping with this volunteer-run bookstore has made me lifelong friendships, connected me with multiple intersecting communities within and without the Twin Cities, and scored reporting tips.

We're always on the lookout for new volunteers. Email us at volunteering at boneshakerbooks dot com!

Fun fact: the new space we'll be in is just two blocks from Boneshaker's very first location in the old Arise! Bookstore space. Though we are now run by a new collective, it feels like a full-circle move. This article from 2010 offers some fun historical perspective:
Boneshaker Books shakes up old Arise! space
From the ashes of Arise! Bookstore will soon rise a successor collective, Boneshaker Books. Meanwhile, Storefront in a Box is offering the space for short-term rental.

Thanks for taking one. If any other MPLS folks out there missed this when it came out in 2017 (plus the expanded edition in 2020)- it’s a great example of narrative as part of the movement toolkit.

Get FREE copies at Moon Palace, Boneshaker, or RLM Arts. Also online: mpd150.com/report
