It's over...well there's still a lot of generic dialogue to finish, but the story dialogue is complete from start to end.

Finally got main dialogue AND name input working thanks to Alpharobo and his work on Dante, though there's still some oddities about control code placement that I need to figure out.

Oh nice, there's some non-Japanese horses in here like America's Rainbow Quest. Which is a little odd cause I don't think he ever actually raced in Japanese, but it could just be a cameo.

Sadly no. The text for Progenitor is stored in the DAT and EXE files. OPEN holds the opening cinematic and main menu while MAIN holds most of the item, location, and character names. MENU holds the labels, MESSAGE holds generic and recurring text, and SDATA holds default variables like PC name. 1/

UI is now fully implemented, which should make traversing the rest of the game a bit easier 😅.

I was asked if I could record a video of the opening, there's a 3 minute limit on BlueSky and a file size limit on Mastodon so here's my favourite snippet of the sequence as a showcase.
