I may struggle with the whole "Regular Human Interaction" thing sometimes, but thank god I know my way around a Blockbuster

I genuinely would love a Batman/Superman crossover for these two because I feel like we might get a line like this from Supes.

"Bruce.. I worry about you, y'know. Have you ever thought about trying an SSRI?"

And then the absolute OUTRAGE under the cowl-

“Indeed, it was their own hubris that ended their reign, their belief they were the pinnacle of creation that caused them to poison the water, kill the land and choke the sky. In the end, no nuclear winter was needed, just the long, heedless autumn of their own self-regard.”

Impressively handsome to look at, thoroughly entertaining to listen to, and consistently light on its feet from start to finish. Black Bag is a fun time.. it brings that unique Soderbergh caper energy to the spy genre and proudly enjoys doing its own thing for 90 spry minutes.

Mr. Robot is apparently now streaming in its entirety on Tubi! If you're in need of a quality series, this might fit the bill for you. Especially if you can go in blind on it, its narrative is exceptionally skilled at taking your hand and dragging you down into the rabbit hole...

The Last of Us Part II was the best video game I’ve ever played. So excited for it to come to the screen tonight, in whatever faithful or remixed form awaits.

My hot take is that there is no obvious path. Star Wars as it exists now is a setting, not a story. And while you can tell all sorts of stories *in* that setting, nobody seems to have any idea how to move the big story forward.
Genuine question - if you were the new head of LucasFilm, what would you do to revitalise the Star Wars franchise?

Man... what a ridiculous, beautiful piece of work.

A couple of the tonal shifts are.. a little jarring, but that's absolutely outweighed by its creativity, and the depth of emotion that it ends up striking at.

A fantastic companion piece to Everything Everywhere All At Once.

With cinematography that's simultaneously handsome and haunting, The Stranger concerns itself primarily with the psychological toll that comes from confronting darkness up close, and it finds an exceptionally tense and unnerving undercover-cop story at the center of that idea. Very grim, very good.

Scorcese remains an absolute master of the form, and this is yet another brick in the cinematic house that he has built over the course of his life. Here, he looks into the lives of petty old men squabbling like children and finds an aching, profound emptiness.

Pacino and Pesci haven't lost a step.

After all these years, I finally watched it: the film that singlehandedly started (and killed) a cinematic universe, the butt of 1001 jokes, and.. I didn't hate it.

It's silly, it's standard, it's underwritten.. but with Tom Cruise in dirtbag mode and Russell Crowe going ham, there's fun to be had.
