I love that! in México at least, that day is the "prank day" that April 1st is for the US. So, April's fools is to us, the us version of holy innocent's day. A great day to release an album!

Uhm, not in México at least. Here we celebrate from November the 1st and 2nd. Yucatán (which is also in México) has a version that goes from oct 31st to Nov 2nd. That said, by all means, celebrate as long as you want!

It's still Day of the Dead in México (it actually lasts like 3 days) so you can argue it still counts.

This is absolutely exciting. I grew up in Yucatán (ans in México city, I suppuse) and, growing up, seeing certain differences between the experiences I had compared to the anglocentrist internet consensus has always surprised me a bit. Not always in a good way.

Cuando llegué al DF y compré mi primera torta de milanesa con salchicha y quesillo, no sabía no cómo abordar semejante emparedado y al intentar dar una mordida, la milanesa escapó de la torta y cayó al piso. El perro local la olió y se fue sin probarla. El tortero sentenció: "Perro no come perro".
