I don’t think this story is accurate. According to the NZ Department of Conservation, kākāpō are not expected to begin mating until later this month.

In addition to this nonsense in the map below, there is one territory, Lord Howe Island, where they only change the clocks by 30 minutes for daylight savings! So in summer it is the same time as Sydney, and in winter it’s 30 minutes ahead

I agree that in general NZ First is more closely aligned with National, but I feel like this has gotten away from the original point I was responding to, which is that minor parties in practice have a “stable alignment” with on of the major parties
