Da innerhalb der nächsten beiden Jahre der Medianlohn ansteigen wird, liegt dann der Mindestlohn noch unter dem Zielwert, er nähert sich mit der heutigen Entscheidung jedoch diesem Ziel an.

In zwei Jahren liegt der Mindestlohn dann etwa bei der (heutigen!) Markte von 60% des Medianlohns, die sowohl von der Europäischen Kommission als auch von der Mindestlohnkommission selbst angestrebt wird.

Auf Basis meiner Forschungsergebnisse, die in unterschiedlich Forschungspapieren dokumentiert sind, finde ich nur wenige evidenzbasierte Argumente, die der heutigen Mindestlohnerhöhung entgegen stehen. #Mindestlohn #EconSky

Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine Mindestlohnsteigerung über zwei Jahre in Höhe von 13,9%, was deutlich über der generellen Lohnentwicklung der letzten Jahre liegt.
So ist ist der Tariflohnindex in den letzten zwei Jahren um 9,4% gestiegen.

So, der #Mindestlohn erhöht sich im nächsten Jahr um 8,4% auf 13,90€ und dann im Folgejahr nochmals um 5% auf 14,60€.

I am not overly convinced that the US consumer pays for the tariffs. Suppose the supply of imported goods is inelastic. In that case, the producer (the foreign firm) pays the burden, and the deadweight loss might be small and compensated by the tariff revenues.
