PS: you're also discussing projects where one person wears multiple hats. At that point, I agree you could consider putting "most hats" first. Personally, I still lean alphabetical, but I can see the advantage of a diff approach

Good q. I can see how egos might get tied up in the answers. I think maybe alphabetical by last name w/ titles next to em may be best in the interior. Idk about the cover, though, where space is precious. But I'm a "we did it together" guy who writes, illustrates, and does layout for diff projects
