FEMA’s response to the deadly Texas floods was likely slowed by cost-cutting measures enacted by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, at the behest of DOGE.

Noem must personally approve every contract and grant over $100K, hampering FEMA’s ability to quickly deploy resources.

“Efficiency.”

Amazing shows these two have put on for boxing world. Hope momentum continues for women’s boxing.

Taylor with the win. Might have been her counters, Serrano was busier but wasn’t connecting many of those punches thrown. Ward was talking about the need for her to close in the final two rounds. I thought it was a draw, but tough one to score

I wanna see more head movement from Serrano, but working behind the jab is nice work. Taylor is looking for counters. Both seem to use first two rounds for data collection

Cautious on both sides in that first round

Round 21, here we go #SerranoTaylor
July 12, 2025 at 3:44 AM
Serrano talking about her sister taking fights for $50, $4,000 for championship fights. Not uncommon. In California, the minimum was $100 per round, now, as a result of a policy brief on boxing I led, the minimum in CA is now $200 per round. Still not enough, but a good move in right direction.

For the change from 2 to 3 minutes for female division, pay also has to be addressed. Boxing is brutal for anyone - male or female - perhaps solution is at the world champion level: start with 10 3-minute rds. Then move towards 12 3-minute rds. Either way, pay improvement is critical #taylorserrano

Shadasia Green, 20 years for this moment. Beautiful. Emotional. So much goes into these kinds of moments. And even more of a difficult road for women in this sport. #taylorserrano #greenmarshall

Roach is right, if that was ruled a knockdown, he wins tonight. Unfortunate.
March 2, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Draw - that’s a great fight and result for Roach. That controversial knee Tank took, he was the A-Side, he got the call in his favor there. I think that should’ve been one point deduction
March 2, 2025 at 5:38 AM
114-114 but that odd knee Tank took might be the controversial difference in this one #DavisRoach

In one week, multi-multi-billionaire bigot casino/Mavs owner Miriam Adelson traded Luka Doncic & set herself up to benefit from the total ethnic cleansing of Gaza as benefactor of Trump’s Riviera plan. To paraphrase the legendary Paul Mooney, Miriam Adelson makes Donald Sterling look like Malcolm X.
