The rest of the fgc: play a pad, stick, box, piano, guitar hero, steering wheel... we understand we understand that letting a particular controller die isn't the same as abandoning all boundaries. As long as it has no macros, plug it in dude.

Cherry barbs immediately recognized the raw shrimp as food. The angelfish were confused and did not partake. Maybe they could be conditioned in the future to accept it.

In the early 2000s, it was trivial to build small internet communities of a few dozen people with shared interests that would see life and participation.
How does that happen today? Honestly, I have no idea. Discord servers with almost a thousand members are quieter.

In theme parks, a "dark ride" is a car on a railed course that creates an illusion by selectively illuminating set pieces and obscuring mechanics.
You couldn't achieve space travel by making a space-themed dark ride more and more seamless in its illusion.
Chatbots are an AI dark ride.

Elaborating on this. If somebody has a hateful belief, any compassion they pretend to have is performative. If you really cared about people *not* going to hell, you would be critical about it.
The thing about hell is that since it’s not real, saying “I believe in hell and the people I don’t like are going to burn there” is the same thing as saying “I wish I believed in hell so the people I don’t like could burn there.”

"AGI" implies that what we have now is artificial intelligence, but without some "general" quality.
Making a chatbot specific or general is trivial. What we have no idea how to do is make it actually intelligent. We're missing the "i" not the "g".

Saying a vegan diet has health benefits is like trying to win at poker by ignoring all the red cards you are dealt. It's strictly fewer options, so it can't help unless you're making bad decisions. And it won't stop you from doing that anyway, so there is zero point.

Banking friends on bsky, please help me understand. I'm not a teller, so I don't know. I'm withdrawing 3k. I showed them my calculator to specify the bills I needed and tried to communicate clearly what this means.
Is there anything difficult or confusing about this from the other side?

Is it just me, or is the whole Santa thing weird? Why does american culture put so much importance on prolonging the stage of a child's life where they believe in these things? It is a form of neotony.
What is the benefit of lying to a person old enough to articulate their doubts into questions?

Theres something that I've been wondering about for marvel rivals, overwatch, league of legends, pretty much ANY big multi-player hero miba thing. Can anybody tell me why these companies keep on forcing support as a core role when it's abundantly clear people don't want it?

Diegetic decay: the tendency over time for a game to outgrow its initial diegetic premise.
Examples:
League of legends used to depict an event in-universe called the league of legends. Now, the gameplay does not have an in-universe framing. (1/3)

There's no such thing as "making" a bed. That's just something old people made up to haze us, like "blinker fluid."

Speaking about phylogenetics, wyvern ARE dragons. Chromatic dragons are more closely related to wyverns than the metallic dragons.
The field is rapidly developing, but the consensus is that dragons will be a large and diverse group once fantasy scholars collect more data.
