my theory is that because Ardeer is so close to Sunshine, they have justified less services to/from Ardeer.

sadly, you’re so right. i also fear for the new generation of planners coming through who start their employment at these nimby-esque type councils where it’s the status quo. the fear of officers upsetting Councillors and risking being put on the ‘outs’ in local government is all too real.
