Opening up Bluesky to visit all the little friends that live in my phone
Scene from King of the Hill. Hank's mom is staring lovingly at some miniature figurines

On the way out I heard him saying to his friends "Titty Twister! Like they can't just call something that, right??? Hahahahaha!"

There was a guy sitting near me who had not seen From Dusk Till Dawn before and he started guffawing when they first showed The Titty Twister. And then he laughed hysterically any time there was an exterior shot of the building. He was having a great time

Now seated for a Regal "Screams on Screen" screening of From Dusk Till Dawn. I think the last time I watched this was a DVD rental from Netflix a million years ago.

Most accurate title ever. Amazing lead performance from Indy the dog, and I'm thankful this went for a more somber and thoughtful approach rather than falling into "What if horror movie but dog?" gimmickry. Make sure you stay for the post credit thing.

Indy, the titular good boy from Good Boy posing dramatically in front of a television

Now seated for Good Boy. Didn't realize how short this was, so I might attempt a double feature if my ass has the incredible stamina required to sit that long. I'm practically an athlete so I can probably handle it

Movie poster for Good Boy featuring the titular good boy doggie being approached by a bunch of scary shadow hands. Look out doggie! "Trust his instincts" it says

Sometimes I'll post something on Bluesky and 8-12 people will like it. It's pretty much the Ultimate High.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Going to the movies after work and I need to decide between Bone Lake, Good Boy, or The Strangers Chapter 2. Please give me your opinions and suggestions so that I can ignore them and pick a movie purely based on vibes five minutes before showtime

More propaganda with painfully normal people zip-tied at the side of the road please, this will for sure convince the American people that you're the good guys

We're having an All Night Revival

Still frame from a video: Painfully normal people zip tied on the side of the road, sitting on a guardrail in a row

You know what, that was actually pretty good. This definitely has some clumsy moments, but it takes its grim subject matter seriously and has a surprising amount of emotional heft. They don't always nail the execution, but this was still a pleasant surprise

Still from Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman. The titular Woman is menacing a young girl with a giant pair of scissors or shears, or whatever those things are called. I don't know shit about scissors it's embarrassing ok I'll work on it

Now watching Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman (2007). The movies featured in Arrow's J-Horror Rising box set have been wildly varying in quality, but just look at this poster. This one is going to be a winner, right?

Pink Pantheress is so fun. I've been listening to Donuts by J.Dilla and The Collective by Kim Gordon today

You can't block people on here, but you can label posts as being about specific topics and then they can't remove the tag 🤔

My workplace's internal social media app is a cesspool dominated by one weird Christian woman who posts terrible memes a dozen times a day. Her posts are in every single "highlights" email I get because hardly anyone uses the platform for anything not specifically work related. Just awful stuff.
A social media post reading "Know ur identity ❤️"

The awful meme itself reads:
"I identify as BLESSED. My pronouns are covered, chosen and favored"

A coworker was just talking about the great movie she watched "about people in a school" but she couldn't remember the name of it. She described it as "So weird and funny" and "like nothing I've ever seen before" and "So strange!" Then she Googled it and it was Fast Times at Ridgemont High?

I'm kind of curious about this guy and how he became the face of so many Prince songs. I did an image search and the only result was from a Japanese blog that mentions the same issue. Who is this guy??? Can we solve this mysterious mystery?
A translated web page with a picture of an Asian man wearing glasses. The text reads "As I wrote before, for some reason the icon image of Prince on my PC's media player is a mysterious Japanese man with glasses, and it feels a bit strange to listen to Prince while looking at this guy's face."
