Had to go on a mute-fest this morning, for anyone I was following complaining about it being down, like any of us care. Way to out yourselves, suckas.

My wife picked this up today for cleaning, and I don't know if I should be worried or not.

I was thinking just recently of revisiting My Blue Heaven. I haven't seen it in ages.

My #LastFourWatched. A couple of rewatches earlier in the week, and then two "snow" themed flicks during yesterday's blizzard. πŸΏβ„οΈ

Really nothing all that memorable or unique here. A handful of horror sequences that were neat, but mostly a forgettable action-horror with lots of recycled ideas. A decent enough pass of time though, for a snowy afternoon.

I didn't hate it, for what it's worth

It's nearly 8 pm here, and my daughter has spent about the duration of the day, hanging out in the kitchen, sitting at the kitchen table and watching Ms Rachel and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on a Chromebook, only really stopping to eat, or to come to me to refill her juice. It's been peaceful I guess?

About 45 minutes in, we finally reached the "horror" portion of this movie I guess. Real "I am Legend" vibes.
January 16, 2026 at 12:17 AM
I mean so far, this has shades of like, The Thing, with 28 Days Later, and things are happening, and people are acting, and yet, it's just boring? I'll keep watching, but I'm not feeling like this will turn into anything that special.

A little hole-in-the-wall sub shop in Wooster, OH called "Hero House". It was near an old office my wife and I both worked, and good lord have I never had a better philly steak sub. On the occasional Friday evening after work we'd pick a couple up to take home, and they always hit the spot.

Gotta do the Trailer Park boys next then, eh?

I worked a trade show in Vegas awhile back, and the neighboring booth was from Canada, and it was legit the only thing those two guys talked about with me that week.

In continuing my "snow" theme today, I'm giving this a first-time spin. I guess it's some sort of ice-age action-horror or something, but it has Bill Paxton so what the hey.

Now watching: The Colony (2013)

Him and Jeffries just both consistently continue to make my skin crawl, with how both are just so absolutely out of touch, and in the pocket of corporations. Worthless, they are.

Yeah. Her old pair broke, and she's been wearing contacts that she got like five years ago or so (but never used), so she's anxious for her new pair.
January 15, 2026 at 11:13 PM
My wife (texting from work, and about to leave for home in a snow storm): "hey my new glasses came in, I'm going to stop (a couple towns over) on the way home and pick them up!". I just hope she's safe, but man does she really want those new glasses (her last pair broke).

More like "Snore-beast", am I right? Basically a made-for-TV Jaws meets the ski slopes, but honestly this was entertaining enough for a snowy day.

I'm just learning this was originally a "made-for-TV" film, and boy does it show. So far I dig all the snowing and skiing and such (and a surprise visit from "Juno" in Beetlejuice), but it's mostly just folks standing around talking, like real soap opera stuff, and very little actual "Snowbeast"
