Thank you to the synagogues of Minneapolis for leading us in a beautiful Havdalah service tonight, full of heartbreak & healing & hope.

And for the “Summons” to join the 10,000 grandmothers in
Aurora Levins Morales poem, calling us all to this moment.

Alex Pretti was an intensive care nurse in the Veterans Administration Health Care system.

“He felt that doing the protesting was a way to express his care for others,” his dad said.

In the midst of ICE’s unlawful attacks on our neighbors in Minneapolis and across the nation, it’s heartwarming to see so many New Yorkers come together to demand justice for ICE’s victims and a fundamentally better and more caring country.

Since launching our campaign a month ago nearly 1,000 people have signed up to volunteer! I can’t tell you how grateful I am. If you’re already one of them, thank you! If not: will you sign up to be our 1000th volunteer?

Standing outside 26 Federal Plaza this morning to call out a quiet injustice: asylum seekers facing pretermission without a fair hearing.

This is the federal government denying due process. We must organize and pursue legal avenues to stop it.

ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it.

We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

I am thrilled to announce the endorsement from former NYC Councilmember and my friend, @justinbrannan.bsky.social.

This morning at 7am I joined @nynurses.bsky.social on the picket line at Mt. Sinai, where nurses are on strike for a fair contract. These are the workers who keep our healthcare system running.

I have been honored to call the Working Families Party my political home for 25 years. NY-10 has the most WFP voters in not only the city, but also the state. The district has been a pivotal space for the growth of @nywfp.bsky.social.

Listening to members of our community must be a priority. Showing up for members of our community must be a priority.

Great neighbors, like Michael and Edward, are part of why I’m proud to call this city my home. We will fight, not fold - for ALL New Yorkers.

I am proud to welcome the endorsement of @uaw.org!

Zohran’s inauguration brimmed w/the energy that NYC is “a shining beacon of possibility” per @jumaane.bsky.social.

Amidst the darkness of authoritarianism, inequality & hate, we have a chance to show what’s possible.

That’s always been our mission as New Yorkers—it was profoundly renewed today.

With profound gratitude and optimism, I’m honored to hand the fiscal reins of our beloved city over to @nyccomptroller.bsky.social @marklevinenyc.bsky.social!

Marek & I took one last trip to the cupola of the Municipal Building. It really has been an amazing honor to serve from this perch.

As my term as Comptroller ends, I’m proud of the work we delivered together and grateful for the trust of New Yorkers. Accounting for Our Term reflects our commitment and my optimism for NYC’s future.

I'm ready to be the type of Democrat the Democratic Party has needed this entire time. The type of Democrat who will fight Trump’s authoritarianism by showing up, not with strongly worded letters.

The type of Democrat who will fight, not fold.

Alexa Avilés is a progressive champion, a fierce defender of immigrants & working class families, and an amazing rep for our community.

In this race, she’s showing powerful solidarity by unifying progressives, so we can win together.

I’m immensely grateful for her support.

NY’s “LLC Transparency Act” was passed by @emilyassembly.bsky.social in 2023 to stop abusive landlords hiding behind shell companies.

Changes by Trump to federal rules opened up a huge loophole. So this year, the NYS legislature passed a fix.

Join me in asking Gov. Hochul to close the LLC loophole
