As usual, the brunt of the coming economic hardship will fall hardest on the poorest and most rural communities. This presents a major opportunity for a Democratic politician to genuinely engage with these communities, connect with voters, and help amplify their stories.

Bitcoin in the bush - the crypto mine in remote Zambia. We visit a bitcoin project on the Zambezi river making use of 'stranded electricity'. The company behind it wants to start building its own renewable plants for mining and to spread electricity in Africa. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

UW just released this video with me about the philosophy of bitcoin.

“Bitcoin is there for anyone who feels like at some point they might need resistance money… If you think some day you may end up on the margins, you should know how to acquire and use bitcoin.”

Sometimes people say, "I don't care; I've got nothing to hide." We should not so willingly cede our privacy. For in so doing, we give up an important freedom -- the freedom to decide what we disclose about ourselves.

Here's how we put it in 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑀𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑦:

My friends @resistance.money, @bradleyrettler.com, & Craig have written a wonderful book on the philosophical case for #bitcoin. I think it's exceptional. Buy it at Amazon (a.co/d/eEhyC3u) or DM me here--I have a few PDF copies to give out.

tl;dr: turns out there are some positives AND negatives!

It took until we hit 20m users, but a sizable #bitcoin community is finally forming on Bluesky and it isn’t the toxic bros you were expecting.

When you’re interacting with the progressive bitcoiners here, please don’t block on sight. You’d be surprised at the values you share.

Fascinating result. Banning bitcoin mining in low-emission countries raises global carbon emissions. But it makes sense: it incentivizes more mining in high-emission countries.

Now they're renewing their push for this dangerous legislation, even though we know it will be used by the incoming Trump admin to attack the most vulnerable.

Make sure ppl know the truth about this bill

Massachusetts just made prison communications free.

The reform eliminates the exorbitant charges incarcerated people and their loved ones face to stay in touch, removing a heavy financial burden for thousands.
