Interesting to run into this on MLK Jr Day. In “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”, Dr King reminds us that not all laws are just laws, and that we needn’t obey unjust laws. Can you imagine unjust laws that the current administration might pass? Do you want a money that allows people to break them?

You can ignore the women in patriarchal societies and the democracy protesters against authoritarians and the Nigerian Feminist Collective and the North Korean defectors and the anti-Putin protesters and the Ukrainians and the human rights activists if you want, I guess!

Well, you might be comfortable with the incoming administration knowing all the details of your financial transactions, but not everyone is in that position. Bitcoin is private, censorship-resistant inclusive digital cash. If you can’t see why that’s useful for marginalized communities you’re lucky.
