I realize I’m probably stating the obvious, and even worse I admit I don’t really know the solution to this: the reason liberal “strategists” keep reaching out to the right is because the right isn’t the side they see is their enemy. The right isn’t trying to get them all fired.

And I know we overuse the meme, but it applies: every time this happens, they go full Principal Skinner and insist it’s the children who are wrong. We know for a fact, Democrats want a younger, more progressive party, and the people in charge respond by seeing if Liz Cheney is free again.

The entire “Americans want pro corporate liberal centrism” project has failed, and an entire industry that runs on pretending otherwise is panicking. It isn’t just that they don’t want to move the party to the left; they don’t understand HOW to. They’ve literally never thought about it.

I'm probably not the best judge for this myself, since I'm someone who has never at any point in my life ever given even an ounce of a shit about people's heights (another indication that I'm not lying about mine: I have no reason/motive to), so maybe its just something I never picked up on before.
