sorry I supported Harris, donated to her and even phone banked for her, and she rewarded me by refusing to decry genocide and dabbing with Liz Cheney, you don't get to play this card on me. Sorry your fave sucks shit and lost a completely winnable election. Cry about it.

But sure, we can pretend it's just a "college group chat" that's using Nazi language. We can pretend that the staffer-class of the GOP isn't proudly supporting Nazism.

The institutional Democratic Party is basically a vehicle for rich donors to make sure that when public backlash to terrible Republican policies causes Republicans to lose, the opposition does as little damage to rich people’s interests as possible and cedes power back as quickly as possible

I realize I’m probably stating the obvious, and even worse I admit I don’t really know the solution to this: the reason liberal “strategists” keep reaching out to the right is because the right isn’t the side they see is their enemy. The right isn’t trying to get them all fired.

And I know we overuse the meme, but it applies: every time this happens, they go full Principal Skinner and insist it’s the children who are wrong. We know for a fact, Democrats want a younger, more progressive party, and the people in charge respond by seeing if Liz Cheney is free again.

The entire “Americans want pro corporate liberal centrism” project has failed, and an entire industry that runs on pretending otherwise is panicking. It isn’t just that they don’t want to move the party to the left; they don’t understand HOW to. They’ve literally never thought about it.

I'm probably not the best judge for this myself, since I'm someone who has never at any point in my life ever given even an ounce of a shit about people's heights (another indication that I'm not lying about mine: I have no reason/motive to), so maybe its just something I never picked up on before.

When I mentioned the height obsession, I wasn't just thinking about this topic here: I mean even with things like the incel community and just the general post-Tinder dating scene of today, there just seems to be way more height fixation in the culture these days than there was even just 15 yrs ago.

"This is the happiest I’ve been personally and professionally in a long time," Tim Ryan told The Vindicator. And no wonder! He's making 40% more money advocating for the same gas industry interests out of office than he did in office.

Tim Ryan won’t rule out political comeback
Tim Ryan, a former 20-year congressman, is making more money now than he ever did in his life — including $246,943 to advocate for natural gas last year — but won’t dismiss a return to politics. “I lo...
