Highlighting two personal favourites design wise, Kevin on the left, and Elise on the right. Elise is a goth anime nerd with a plus sized body-
And Kevin also happens to be my favourite character of the show with a great look, telling you everything you need to know about him with just one gaze.

The show is also both visually and musically very well done, with a moody soundtrack by Mackeerre, creating an atmosphere fitting in the setting. The designs of characters are usually simple but memorable, helping to create a distinct and diverse cast.

The strongest suit of the series is its writing, though.
The series managed to write some of the funniest, most endearing and despicable dialogue I have seen in a media for quite a while.
HTP understands its dark setting and therefore the gothic atmosphere it demands for its cast.

The series itself switches between comedic, action, mystery and horror. Because the team behind it, small and founded by Patreon, the amount of actual animation is limited, but not non-existent and actually delivers some pretty decently animated stuff.

Taking the pov of Hunters(normal people fighting the supernatural), the series makes an effort to guide the uninitiated into the paranormal w/o overwhelming them with jargon.
It achieves that by using the eps(e.g. 1.1., 3.3, etc) as audio logs to explain the world & give characters breathing room.

Taking center stage is a family of hunters, led by patriarch Big D, veteran vampire hunter(and pansexual icon), with his sons Door and Marckus, grandson Boy, and son-in-law Kitten(engaged to Marckus).

Most prominent is Big D as a bundle of chaotic energy, switching between ridiculous and badass.
