The Triangulum Galaxy, the third-largest member of our so-called "Local Group".

It is gravitationally bound to the Andromeda Galaxy and - like it - also drifting in our general direction.

Last night’s view of the Pleiades - the Seven Sisters.

The blue glow is a huge interstellar dust cloud drifting through the open star cluster.

The Eastern Veil nebula is an immense cloud of heated dust and gas left over after a star exploded in a supernova event.

I want to redo my Western Veil image (the even more beautiful other side of this shockwave) because the sky wasn't perfectly clear when I took it.

The Pelican Nebula in Cygnus.

The “black cross” shape is actually a dark interstellar dust cloud obscuring the brighter nebula behind it.

Finally got an equatorial mount for my scope. Bye-bye field rotation, hello tight exposures 😃

First test on the Great Hercules Cluster; 100,000+ stars tightly packed together in a bright globe.

But was it a large boulder the size of a small boulder?

It's finally dark enough for some star gazing again. Saw Andromeda for the first time (our next door neighbour galaxy)

Sorry, your twin brother isn’t allowed on the elevator.

Everything Adobe touches withers and dies. So I’m quite stoked they’re now aggressively peddling genAI in all their applications.

I don't even know what they were going for here 🤣

I know this is still beta stuff, but I can’t believe someone at Apple decided this was good enough to be shared with the outside world.

Such a mess, I can’t get over it.

They’ve always been liberal with the use of color in their branding. The Apple logo itself has literally had every color of the rainbow. So in terms of branding there’s nothing to see here.

It’s really about the aesthetic rationale behind it.

If you find yourself in Hamburg with an hour to spare and you like cars, you could do worse than to visit Prototyp, a small museum dedicated to fast cars. Porsche-heavy, but lots of Italian bella machinas too.

Hamburg, I am in you.

The Wizard Nebula in the constellation Cepheus. This one was a struggle. 10 hours worth of sub exposures, but I had to do a lot of tinkering to get anything half-decent out of this stack.

On July 3, 1969, a Soviet N1 Rocket launch failed, causing the largest manmade non-nuclear explosion in history of the planet.

"Lot of good data to review" was not what Soviet propaganda had to say about that.
