The Triangulum Galaxy, the third-largest member of our so-called "Local Group".

It is gravitationally bound to the Andromeda Galaxy and - like it - also drifting in our general direction.

Last night’s view of the Pleiades - the Seven Sisters.

The blue glow is a huge interstellar dust cloud drifting through the open star cluster.

The Eastern Veil nebula is an immense cloud of heated dust and gas left over after a star exploded in a supernova event.

The Pelican Nebula in Cygnus.

The “black cross” shape is actually a dark interstellar dust cloud obscuring the brighter nebula behind it.

Finally got an equatorial mount for my scope. Bye-bye field rotation, hello tight exposures 😃

First test on the Great Hercules Cluster; 100,000+ stars tightly packed together in a bright globe.

Travelling from Paris to Copenhagen by train is 21x more expensive than flying.

This nonsense needs to change if we want to keep the world liveable.
Vliegen blijft in Europa ondanks milieu-impact goedkoper dan treinen
