If I had the financial resources I’d be living in Europe right now instead of worrying about health insurance and burning through my retirement just to keep the bills paid if my spouse and I both get laid off from our jobs of 20+ years. The American Dream is a nightmare I can’t seem to wake up from.

Ugh. I’m facing a layoff in the spring, and trying to land a new job before my current one terminates (plus do some medical stuff while I have my cheap insurance). 22 applications since September. One interview for a job last month & got ghosted; just had a second interview for a comparable role. 🤞🏼
