Watching a segment of www.enemiesproject.org - where a pro life man and a pro choice woman have a sit down. Tough to watch, but seeing the human side of people whose ideas are so against what you believe in (at least initially), is powerful. Curious about how students would respond. #EduSky

Love slow-reveal graphs!
"Graphs & data visualizations are all around us—charting our steps, our election results, our favorite sports teams’ stats & trends ... If we want students to thrive in a data-rich world, they need opportunities to develop strong data habits: slowing down, thinking deeply & constructing meaning."
By revealing graphs piece by piece, teachers can build student curiosity and guide them to more effectively make sense of data! 📊

Checking out and liking www.shufflebuddy.com for making seating charts. It allows you to have "keep together" and "keep apart", custom room arrangements, and tagging seats (like front or near teacher) and students for preferential seating. Also imports from CSV. #edtech #EduSky

I debated writing this. It can feel tempting, upon encountering yet another instance of this administration’s racism, to let it be. How many ways can you say the same thing over and over again? And yet we have to write it down, if for nothing else, so those who come after us know we were against it.

Prepping for work with faculty starting next week. My school uses Namecoach and a tool in our SIS with names/flashcards. I'm curious what other schools do to make sure students feel known from day 1.

First day back at school for the 2025-26 school year (and my 20th at my school). I brought a pan of brownies - pretty much gone. Most of the folks here today are year-around, so a bribe for all of them to put up with me seemed like a good way to start.
