Full-time software engineer, evening game developer!

Developing an incremental/survivors-like game! Magic. Fireballs. Runes. All very exciting!

I can't draw, but I try to make up for it with shaders.
love it! I love the worldbuilding, too. Hope to learn more about dude mcguy's life story :)

This looks like a cool project! I'd love to take a look :)

that club looks like it hurts!

Great step! I always find that's one of the hardest steps for me. Now that you have things to visualize and map, it makes things a lot easier! (I hope)

That looks snazzy! And difficult. I've heard that ladder mechanics are among the hardest to do properly in games.

ha!! You caught me. Illegally burning copper in my godot engine 😆

Ha, I'm the same way. I hadn't considered the possibility of them being lovely until you mentioned it, though 🤔

This looks AWESOME. Is this by using a shader or something else?
January 21, 2026 at 12:21 AM
Yeah, that's a lesson I'm quickly learning. First time doing a camera-follows-character effect. I wonder if this would be an interesting mechanic to explore in *a* game, but not this one.

Ha, I like that idea!

Thank you! Yes, this is quite horrible 🫠 But I've switched it to a very mild lerp-follow and now it's much less... nauseating.

Oooh. Do you get to forklift the car out of the way? 😃

I've never done 3D first-person before so I haven't had to deal with issues like this, but it looks great so far!
January 15, 2026 at 1:03 AM
Haha I love this guy! Pointing at everything :)

LOL

If it works, it works. For now, anyway

First draft looking good! Excited to see what it becomes. (Love the walkways on the walls. I'm a sucker for walkways on walls.)

Love the flame on the tale and the whiskers(?)!
January 10, 2026 at 1:49 AM
I do that about once a week and it always takes me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the issue!

I don't really have experience with castlevanias and megaman but happy to help out if you need more testers :)

cute little detail! agreed that it's the tiny things players often can't put their finger on which make a huge difference.
