(Even the lighter shade is fairly dark ) A human figure is curled up in a defensive or fetal position implying pain, despair, fear, etc. The figure is a jointed doll puppet made from simple shapes- ovals, oblongs, etc. While it is 3d, the shadows themselves are flat. They have their hands covering their head and face. The figure has pitch black wounds or scars on its foream, lower leg, and (covered) face. These wounds have lines like lightning or tree roots stretching away from the edges. They are lying on a stony cliff edge. At the edges of the image are blurry but jagged shadows encroaching, add though the figure was being swallowed by darkness.

This is poem titled Day/Break. Black text on a white background. Text reads: DayBreak They came flocking for the pictures they were promised (But they're all gone now) Backdrop dripping with an elegance untarnished (That's been lost somehow) Til the exsanguinated body of the Venus of your dreams Washed up pale along the shoreline And the silence there is deafening as screams Because Nobody wants a black and white sunrise (l know I tried) There's hollow homeless pity in their eyes Nobody wants a black and white sunrise But all the colors drained away and they've been taken by A strange relentless tide So many dazzling days were born in stunning splendor (But they're all gone now) Where the sky became the sun became the water (It's been lost somehow) And so let's trip the light fantastic at the far edge of the world Amid the noise of breaking records we'll dance off the ledge where nothing can be heard Without a dawn to make an ending of an everlasting day No need to worry "bout tomorrow With no light to guide the way Because Nobody wants a black and white sunrise (l know I tried) There's hollow homeless pity in their eyes Nobody wants a black and white sunrise Because the color's washed away and it's been taken by A strange relentless tide
