Episode 7 of Starship Alexandria goes live tomorrow. We discuss The Ministry of The Future by Kim Stanley Robinson. The end blooper is one of my favourites, mostly because making @aptshadow.bsky.social dissolve into giggles with the opening line of the show made me so happy! starshipalexandria.com

Being born and bred in Sunderland, I suppose I should read Alice now.

Never realised Bryan was the one who did the artwork in Keel Square, my Granddad is on the memorial wheel there too, so this has been a real colliding of worlds.

This @shiftctrlmusic.com comp is out on friday.

I wrote a short and sweet prog track for this and titled it from an Aimé Césaire quote so that maybe someone will accidentally look up the title one day and become a better person.

A real eclectic mix of tunes here I'm looking forward to it.

I am discovering in middle age that I have apparently developed the music taste of a teenage stoner in 1985. I spent an hour today listening to Blue Oyster Cult's "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" (co-written by Michael Moorcock!) & muttering "this is deep, man."

Try the King Django and the Scrucialists cover. Always a sign of a great song when it can be done as reggae and still dominate.

Wait... Is that Ralf (TV Conan) Moeller doing gardening tool ads for Lidl?

I had the original TORG box set back in the day but never did anything with it. Still have my lovely D20 from that set even though I moved the game on years and years ago. It's given great service. I think I still have the first TORG novel on a shelf somewhere. Storm Knights?

I bought loads of the Rifts books at the time (loved the art). Could never really pin down what it was all about. But then it was really just everything in a big silly bucket. The England sourcebook is one of the worst RPG things I've ever read though, so I stopped.

Just read that Guardian review. Sounds good. I barely look at anything on ITV as it's invariably shit and I can't stand the ad breaks. Might make an exception for this though
