Having once worked in the industry, I can confirm it is a selling point for some folks so I can't win.

I felt like I was getting my shit kicked in for a few years now between changing careers, giving up my former life and moving home, school, illness and getting divorced. I'm really glad to be on the other side of feeling fucking sorry for myself and angsty all the time.

I just paid off a massive chunk of the medical debt I've been sitting on, the next few months of tuition is covered, I've got six out of the seven concerts planned for this year coming up, vacation and road trips planned, and my job is sending me to Seattle towards the end of the year.

I'm not even that hungry
