Here’s a snarky section of a comment letter I wrote 2 years ago about a bill that was trying to allow those sidewalk robots up to 550lb/10mph walkmass.org/2023/10/30/t...

59 degrees in Massachusetts means the pre-thanksgiving “oops we need a few more things to bring tomorrow” trip to Trader Joe’s (and Whole Foods across the street when TJs didn’t have an item) was done by bike

Today’s sign of middle age: a band I first saw while I was in college is in the @nytimes.com Mini crossword referencing their album from 20+ years ago. Drove in to Cambridge from Worcester to see the documentary film “I am trying to break your heart” about it/them at The Brattle.

Completely understand paying ~$90 for 2 tickets to a live show these days, but the tickets are listed as $30 each: 1/3 of the listed price is service fees and not going to the artists! Burn the ticket industry to the ground.

Is that in Spring Hill? Saw Councilor Ewen-Campen reference issue in a recent newsletter. In short term, glad it is happening rather than the previous shrug of shoulders / trying to pit trees vs ADA access.

Here’s one in Cambridge on Pearl St I reference often

First miles of November with Mavis for the @walkmass.bsky.social #BeatTheBayState challenge included the future Chris Walsh trail at Farm Pond (that somehow went viral on TikTok/instagram earlier this year)

#44 Erin Donahue was such an impressive high school athlete. (I grew up in town where she went to high school). Insane range: scored over 1000pts as a basketball player and multiple state championships across cross country, basketball, 800, mile, 2 mile, javelin! nj.milesplit.com/articles/313...

Palate cleanser:
I got this sweet voice to text message earlier today from the older woman in our neighborhood that I met while walking our dog a couple years ago. (She has a dog walking business, and we hire her from time to time to let Mavis out when we are both going to be working late.)

I thought it was comically big when I bought it, but the @harborfreight.bsky.social reusable bag is the perfect size in my @radpowerbikes.bsky.social rear rack for a quick Saturday morning Trader Joe’s run

On a walk audit in Worcester this morning, I got to meet a guide dog named Huxley. Here is the good boy sitting on my feet as we stood talking at an intersection on the route.
