Ah, Republicans cutting taxes for rich people and blowing up deficits. A tale as old as time.
After flipping several holdouts, the House has approved a GOP budget outline, taking the first step on President Trump's agenda. This plan would allow up to $4.5 trillion in tax cuts, and increases deficits by more than $19 trillion over 10 years.

Carter was a man of integrity who dedicated his life to helping the neediest people on Earth. A true man of faith who lived it out every day of his life. There was no better advocate for peace and generosity in this world than Jimmy Carter. Rest in Peace, Mr. President.
Breaking News: Jimmy Carter has died at 100. A one-term president and peacemaker from Georgia’s farmland, he was beset by crises in office. nyti.ms/49WdF3G

This is just sad. Senator Brown was a true populist fighter for the little guy for decades. Unions, trade, pensions, etc. he was on your side. And Ohio voted him out for a multi millionaire used car salesman who ran a culture war campaign. You’ll be missed, senator! God help us.
Sherrod Brown, bidding farewell to the US Senate, for now. A standing ovation and some tears. A working class hero and beloved by his colleagues.

Ohio, you made a mistake you can rectify in 2026.

Lmao. I mean he’s actually right, but the whole premise of his campaign against inflation is already shattered before he even takes office. But hey, the tariffs will totally help. 🤣
