Ok, not a grandparent…yet but yeah, I remember waiting in those lines and I have never clutched an armrest as tightly nor leaned halfway out of my seat like I did at that first viewing.

I revisit the oldies, sometimes just to update technology or cultural references. The page count usually goes down because everyone was saying too much.

Trying to find a silver lining here and I guess that’s remembering we need to be our own champions, which means a renewed focus on networking and the art of the query letter.

My first thought was my writing in college (trash) vs. my writing as a mature adult after decades of working on my craft. Interesting choice they’ve made.

Anytime I see the wizard (writer) peeking out from behind the curtain it bumps me and I am reminded to comb through my own work and see if I’m doing that.
