We are stronger and more resilient when we work together. So let's work together to get through our (many) current troubles to build up the world that we want to live in.

So, no matter how/whether you observe/celebrate Thanksgiving, please remember to be kind to the people you work with, to others in your communities, and to yourself! Acknowledge the good in the world, in each other, and in yourself. Be thankful for what you have but desire more and better for all!

I've come so close to burning out many times in recent months, and I know that I often work too hard. But I am proud to have worked with Indigenous communities everywhere I have lived, and I now wake up every morning excited about the work I might help accomplish and the knowledge I might help share

It feels like so much of the world has gone to shit, but Indigenous Peoples, their resilience, and their commitment to community inspire me to look forward by acknowledging the past, remaining aware in the present, and reflecting for a better future.

So there were some technical difficulties that I hadn't had to deal with all term, so the quality of the class did suffer a bit :(
But of the students who attended I think most appreciated what we were able to share and discuss!

It extra sucks because today we were discussing Indigenous storytelling and singing traditions so I had lots of Audio-visual examples prepared, but Google Meet makes it extra difficult to share audio (you have to share a single tab at a time, not a whole screen, if you want to share audio with it).

I usually get to class 15-20 minutes, but despite leaving home 15 minutes early I arrived just as class was supposed to start. No students in the classroom, which I had figured might happen. So I quickly announce virtual class and 4-5 students eventually showed up there.
