So, I retested Alkalinity and Calium with my new reagents. lol my old reagents were clearly expired. I overcorrected calcium and undercorrected alkalinity. My new test levels today will give me a proper base to test again sunday and calculate consumptio so I can manually dose in the aquarium.

One of my players has already played this module and another wants to play a local - it would be a problem if I didn’t fully know how to handle both of these things.

The biggest lingering pest problem in the aquarium has been bubble algae. I added 3 larger pithos crabs and they have managed to decimate about 25 of the algae in a week. Wow!

Deep breaths. Today’s maintenance on the aquarium is done. 12g water change, carbon change, socks change, skimmer cleaning, and… after no calcium or all testing for 2 years, the numbers testing and were insanely low - but now 477 Ca and 11.6 Dkh

Everyone has survived the night. I gambled with adding a copperband butterflyfish (striped fish on far left) - for those who don’t know, there is a more than 50% chance they will die transitioning to a new tank.
