Curious how the DOJ is going to square arguing Maduro gets no diplomatic immunity due to being an illegitimate leader with the Trump administration’s decision to engage his still very intact regime rather than recognizing an opposition leader.

@reckless.bsky.social Is there a reason the reporting options in the comments don’t line up with the community guideline rules? People regularly run afoul of guideline rules that do not have a reporting equivalent. (Spreading misinformation, complaining about coverage, spam, etc.)

I’m convinced Trump is involved in some Voodoo dark magic deal with Satan that causes a nearby random bystander to suffer a health catastrophe that is otherwise destined to wreck him.
incredible photo that's definitely worth at least 1,000 words from Andrew Harnik of Getty

I’m fully down for Mamdani as Mayor of NYC (but don’t live there so grain of salt) but it IS pretty weird to eat a burrito with a knife and fork.

Today’s tragic events highlight why Apple is making a big mistake in postponing Jessica Chastain’s The Savant. Two white extremists murdered a bunch of people in separate attacks and they’re afraid to air a show that confronts the epidemic of violence facing the country.

Setting aside the “the other side did it” finger pointing, the undeniable fact is that political gun violence is out of control and Donald Trump and the GOP are at the helm. They own it. All of it! They’re doing nothing effective to address it—and what they are doing is fanning the flames.

Who the hell knows, at this point, but the Trump administration lies every single day about things big and small, is corrupt, and is pushing a narrative DURING the investigation that helps them far more than it helps the left, so color me skeptical based on a single alleged “anti ice” bullet.

I still think the most likely reason this has had its release date pushed is to avoid having the show fall victim to an obvious political firestorm but now it’s just going to fall victim to a different political firestorm AND Apple is going to be accused of being weak. Shoulda just released it.
Do not comply in advance.
Apple has pulled The Savant, its series starring Jessica Chastain’s about hunting down white supremacist cells across America, from its immediate release schedule.

I could just be naive, but it seems to me that if taking tylenol while pregnant increased the risk of autism in babies in any meaningful way, autism would be nearly omnipresent in newborns.

He gets this backwards. Hortman’s death is more tragic and repugnant than Charlie Kirk’s. Every single school child’s is more tragic. BECAUSE no one knew who they were. THEY weren’t out there every day clamoring for a war. Harping about going on the offensive.
absolutely repugnant, gutfeld completely dismisses the assassination of melissa hortman, calls it a "bull shit" example of political violence

I don’t think anyone should be killed by a gun, but if we’re going to accept gun violence as the status quo, the people who have the power to change that (or who vow not to) should face the consequences of that violence rather than our children.

Why is RFK Jr. looking at children in an airport at all? Someone might want to get to the bottom of this.

I attempted to wade into this last night, and rushed through some things, partially because I was attempting to respond to more than one person at a time but also because I was shooting too much from the hip.

If you plan on burning an american flag, make sure you do it where you can’t be arrested for burning things, because it’s not hard for a cop to find a way to arrest you for starting a fire.

Republican snowflakes are now claiming they have to have a white version of “the talk” with their staffers because they’re scared of the city.
Tom Cotton claims he has to tell his interns in DC that they need to travel around the city "with other people" because of crime

So Trump knew Epstein was trafficking his young female employees and his solution was just to ban Epstein from Mar-a-Lago?

Not, you know, report him to the police? This feels like the worst possible answer he could have given.

The people in the comments on this article are fighting about whether Macbooks are irresponsible to recommend because of the cost while ignoring that this article (and all other articles like it on any other site) only exists to drive affiliate revenue. www.theverge.com/this-is-my-n...

My hottest take is that the first Fantastic Beasts movie is better than most of the Harry Potter movies.

Conservative incels have now resigned themselves to arguing it’s gay to marry and fuck women.
For a while, it was believed that women and gay men are born with a natural sense for aesthetics. In reality, straight men, particularly American male Protestants, have simply barred themselves from taking an interest in aesthetics because they think this makes them noble.

MAGA turning on Donald Trump over the Epstein files is no different than those stories you read about people who get eaten by the wild bears they try to live with. Except in the latter case the bears are more thorough.
July 13, 2025 at 3:45 PM
In his first term Trump couldn't keep his administration together because he hired semi-sane career politicians who discovered they couldn't work for a crazy person. In 2025, he's not gonna be able to keep it together because he had no choice but to hire conspiracy nutters he can't control.

Elon Musk went from inspiring the MCU’s Tony Stark to being the clear blueprint for the DCU’s Lex Luthor in less than 20 years.

Something something live long enough to become the villain.

The price-to-utility ratio for YouTubeTV finally flipped over to "too much money for too little utility." We get virtually everything we want from other streaming services, so nearly $90 a month just doesn't math. They flew too close to the sun.
